Some pages in the general menu take you to topics with interactive properties. Readability level is upper elementary and beyond. Exercises are downloadable in PDF format and there is a colorful review of the chemistry of the ocean.

This site provides near real-time graphics of ocean topography. The information comes from the TOPEX/POSEIDON sattelite. You select the time and place and how you want the information displayed. This site portrays very well what altimeters do and how the information they collect shows up in our daily lives.
