This NOAA site features monthly Sea Surface Temperature (SST) measurements for the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. SST is reported as degrees above the climatological monthly maximum temperature. The plots are useful as indicators of coral bleaching hot spots, which occur at 1 degree above monthly climatological maximum temperature. Also, there is a new link to coral bleaching indices that indicate the strength and duration of hotspots.
